oh no globespan!!!!!!!

Hi everyone -

Well i was apart of the recent thread re globespan as my family (not including me) are travelling with them today and we were really conserned with the reports we were reading on TA about this airline and all the problems!!! Well every bad word that has been said has been proved today - my family were due to leave at 9.30 am today then they got a letter to say the flight had been changed to 2.30pm this was no big issue just meant it would be late when they arrived - well today its now 10.15pm and you guessed they still havent taken off!! almost 8 hours late - they have been to the gate and were then told to go back as a wheel needed changed then they were on the flight (7pmish) and were asked to get off as the plan WAS NOT SAFE!!! then at 8pm%26#39;ish they were advised that a plane was being flown across from Canada to take them. My family had upgraded and have now been told they have lost there upgraded seats as the people who were to be in business now had the upgrades as theres no business class on the new plane!! my mam still hopes to get an upgraded seat as she says half the people have left the airport and have said they just want there money back!!! The last time i spoke to her she said they had just been told they are leaving at 11.00pm but not holding much hope!! They have been given a 拢4.00 voucher towards a meal but told to pay the balance towards there choice of food... i will keep you updated!!

They really seem a right shower of hopeless well enough said.

Was thinking of booking with them next year,well no chance.

you guessed.... just got a text form my mam saying the flight should now take off at midnight coz the crew now need to be changed!!! however they are being given another 拢4.00 EACH!!! well i suppose that makes everything ok .....lol

well its now 12.00 and theres no sign of the crew yet so obviously its delayed abit more - cant wait to see what time they actually take off!! My mam has just said tempers are getting hot people wanting managers ......................

Truly unbelievable! Moral of the story is that sometimes it may be worth spending a bit more with an established carrier, even if it costs a few pounds more.

well i got a text from my mam just after 2.00am and she said they were about to board the plane - not sure what time they actually took off!!.... I agree i wouldnt use one off those cheap airlines and im SURE she wont again either........ Does anyone know where i can find out the take off time or the time she will arrive in Sanford - tryed both sites but the flight isnt on either??
