Virgin Atlantic On-Line Check In & Meals

Hi again,

My hubby booked our Virgin Orlando holiday via Thomas Cook, Virgin Atlantic from Manchester.

Is it correct that we cannot check in online and we cannot contact Virgin before our flight to ask about the meal options (we have booked a childs meal for our daughter but after reading a previous report on here it pointed out you could phone and change if required)?

Advice appreciated.....

Thanks again, Iris.

I%26#39;m not sure, as you have booked with Thomas Cook, however, I would phone Virgin Atlantic anyway, just have all the details in front of you - flight no, date, time, names and your booking reference. They can only say yes or no - either way you will not have lost anything. I know when we flew with them having booked through Jetsave, we could not do anything online, but I could phone them and get the childrens meals and request seats so it would be worth a go.

Virgin Atlantic On-Line Check In %26amp; Meals

Hi Iris

We booked through Travelcare with Virgin, on the confirmation documents from Virgin there was a reference number. I went onto the web site ( Viirgin Atlantic) and was just looking around but i did find an area where you could customise your booking. Not expecting much i put in our reference number and up came the options to prebook meals and the seats ! I was so glad to find this as we are a family of 5 and there were not many seats left that were close together so we quickly grabbed them.

Have a look around virgins site you may be lucky. However checking in online is only available 24 hrs before the flight but at least you have your seat choices.

You won%26#39;t get your seat choice if you check in on line. So you might still want to get there early to secure seats together. You should be able to manage your flights on line though. I would phone virgin and get a reference number. They have been very helpful for me wheneve I have phoned (although I booked direct with them)

Hi

Even if you have booked through a travel agent you can still book seats and meals and do on line check in (24hrs before flight).

Have done this twice. Go to the Virgin Atlantic web site not Virgin Holidays - manage your flight - update booking then enter your reference number found on your booking confirmation and flight number- retrieve booking then look around for the seating plan to change or book seats if not done so already.

Hope this helps.

I always check in online with virgin, and i have always had the seats that i have booked i usually go 2 to 3 times a year. when booked via an agent you are usually given a seat no. and if you phone virgin atlantic direct 01293 562345 they will be able to tell you your seat no and meal options booked, and they will make any changes if need be.

Chris
