Universal Layout

Hi

We will be staying at Portofino Bay in a few months time on a room only basis. Some mornings we will have breakfast within the hotel, does anyone know what breakfast facilities are available with Portofino - is there a Deli selling smoothies, pastries etc?

Also, we where thinking we could go to Citywalk for breakfast, is this close-by the Portofino? Could we walk to Citywalk en-route to Universal or IOA? I know there is the boat service which takes you direct to the parks. Our daughter will be with us so we don%26#39;t want to be doing lots of walking before hitting US/IOA.

Note: we are not full breakfast eaters, continental etc. does us just fine.

Many thanks, Iris...

It looks like the Portofino is the farthest away from City walk and the theme parks. Maybe you can take the boat service to City Walk, get your breakfast and then head to the parks. The walk from city walk to the parks is not long.

Universal Layout

Hi we stayed at Royal Pacific and their hotel had a nice breakfast buffet of bread/muffin/bagels, fruit/yogurt or cereal that you can buy ala cart so good selection and reasonable, would imagine Portofino has the same. It is good walk to City Walk/Parks from Portofino so use the boat. At City Walk there is a Pastamore which is open breakfast/lunch/dinner and breafast had hot items eggs etc. or cereal/fruit/yogurt all very fresh and good prices. Also they had good sandwiches to go for a picnic by the pool. There is also a Cinnabon and starbucks here for quick bites and java.

Citywalk is in the between the two parks, Universal STudios would be your first entrance if you walked from Portofino, then you would walk through City Walk to get to IOA. The boat drops you off in the middle at City Walk so it is an easy walk to either of the parks.

Hope this helps. I had a hard time understanding the layout of Universal and what and where to go and so I try to help others now that I have been there.

Have fun!!!

Definitely recommend using the boat service to Citywalk. Quicker and a really nice ride.

If you don%26#39;t find a suitable place in Citywalk, or just fancy a change, try Croissant Moon at IOA or The Boulangerie at US. Both are a short distance within their respective parks and serve savouries, pastries and sweets along with coffee and juices.

Not too expensive and good for people-watching as they pile into the park.

All

Thanks for your help........ I didnt realise the boat dropped you at Citywalk and you walked to either of the parks from there.

Sounds like there%26#39;s lot of good places for breakfast to suit the 3 of us.

Regards, Iris
