what the weather doing this week

Hello seven days until we hit orlando then on to naples hows the weather at the moment ?

what the weather doing this week

Overcast for the moment on the northside of Orlando; had a short ';Seattle'; type rain a little bit ago. Not cool, but not hot. Didn%26#39;t smell any smoke then, but it was thick last night.

what the weather doing this week

There%26#39;s a big storm off the east coast, which sadly is not producing the much needed rain the area so desperately needs.

Temps in the next few days are going to be in the upper 80%26#39;s and lower 90%26#39;s with rain chances each day ranging from 40% to 60% chance. In case you need Celcius temps, they will be from 31 to 35 degrees.

Worst problem right now is the smoky conditions that the wildfires around FLorida are producing in Orlando. Breathing can be difficult with these smoky conditions present.

are the smokey conditions in orlando ?

ORLANDO, Fla. -- For the second straight day, metro Orlando had the most unhealthy air in the country, according to a government Web site, in large part because of brush fire smoke being blown into the area from Andrea, a subtropical storm that was downgraded to a depression on Thursday.

According to AIRNow.com, an air-quality program supported by the Environmental Protection Agency and other government agencies, air in Orlando and Central Florida, which is usually among the cleanest in the country, was the worst in the nation on Wednesday and Thursday, Local 6 News reported.

Wildfires in Georgia and North Florida gave Central Florida residents one of the haziest days of the year on Wednesday -- and also a potentially hazardous one because of the smoky air, which lingered throughout Thursday.

Doctors and other health care professionals cautioned people with breathing problems to limit their time outdoors or avoid it altogether, Local 6 News partner Florida Today reported.

At least two people went to the emergency room at Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, complaining of breathing problems from the smoke, Parrish spokeswoman Natalie Sellers said.

Dr. Steven Podnos, a physician with Brevard Pulmonary Specialists, said his office expected to see more patients with breathing problems.

The smoke can irritate conditions such as emphysema and bronchitis, said Podnos, who is primarily affiliated with Wuesthoff Medical Center-Rockledge.

';If you have any type of respiratory illness, it may be best to stay inside,'; Bob Wimmer, a forecaster for the National Weather Service in Melbourne, said. ';If you go out, you may want to wear a mask.';

In Orlando, the level of particles in the air from the smoke on Wednesday reached levels deemed to be unhealthy for the general population, according to AIRNow.

However, later in the day, the warning was reduced to levels unhealthy for ';sensitive groups,'; such as people with asthma and other lung ailments.

AIRNow issued an advisory on Thursday, warning people with heart and lung disease, older adults and children to reduce prolonged or heavy exertion outdoors.

In response to the wildfires, the Florida Department of Public Health issued health recommendations for residents affected by the smoke.

Whatever smoke parts of Central Florida were experiencing, it was worse in North Florida.

Gov. Charlie Crist said Florida was dealing with more than 220 wildfires that have scorched 80,000 acres. Crist said only a few homes have been lost statewide to the flames.

During a helicopter tour, the governor noted the smoke.

';This is amazingly thick,'; he said on Wednesday.

I wondered what all this haze was!!!

I am very asthmatic and I have been feeling a little more ';wheezy'; but just put it down to walking around the parks a lot.

The weather right now here in Disney World is very warm and yes.. hazy.

royalruby, I would like to take credit for writing all that, but I actually just copied and pasted it from the local news website. But you are welcome.

I have asthma as well, and thanks to all your reports, I%26#39;ve already refilled my prescription for another inhaler... just to be safe!!!

We arrive next Thursday, so hopefully, for the sake of all in Florida, the fires will have subsided.
