Transportation around florida

We are going to be staying in Orlando in July, party of 6 adults. We will be staying in a vacation home in Indian Ridge Oaks. Can anyone please tell me if the best and the cheapest form of transportation is hire car?

Or is there shuttles that you can hire to pick you up from the vacation home daily and take you to the attractions that you want to see and then return you back to the vaction home?

Thanks

Lori

If you are staying in a private home on a residential estate than it is a no brainer- get a car! In general the US is laid out for car drivers, not public transport usuers except in cities such as NYC, San Fran etc.

There may be shuttles at the homes you are staying in and they may be free (although most have a charge) and you can use them if you have a car or not. For convenience, speed etc a car is the way to go. You will need it go to to/from the airport, to go to the grocery stores, to go shopping, to dine out, even if you don%26#39;t drive to the parks every day.

Without a doubt ... rent a car. It will save you a lot of time, and you don%26#39;t want to be standing around in the heat and humidity waiting for shuttle cars (if there are any). While July may be the cool part of the year in Oz, it is the hottest and most humid time in Central Florida.
