Christmas @ Walt Disney World!. . .Help Please!

We%26#39;re traveling to Walt Disney World 11/26-12/1 and staying at the Polynesian. This will be our second visit, first during the Christmas season.

LOVE Christmas decorations, lights, etc. What are some of the things that we can%26#39;t miss during this time?

Also, need to submit our itinerary, which includes a list of places to eat for priority seating reservations. Need some suggestions for the best breakfast spot, other than a Character breakfast and any other suggestions you can provide!

Thanks so much for your help!

Danette

Christmas @ Walt Disney World!. . .Help Please!

Hi Danette..I was in Orlando last December. We went to MGM on the suggestion of the Local Expert Healin1 (my TA pal) to see the Xmas lights. They were spectacular...but our night ended earlier then we planned on due to heavy down pours of rain. :(

We had a late lunch at Mama Melrose%26#39;s and I would strongly recommend you include that in your itinerary when you visit MGM Studios.

I have see Epcot suggested on here also for great Xmas lights. You might want to check that out.

Orlando itself was decorated nicely for Xmas and is a nice place to visit to put you in the Xmas mood.

BTW...Buy the Xmas Santa Mickey Hat with the ears on it...its a nice touch when you take all those wonderful Xmas pictures at the parks!

It will be a total zoo for Christmas and as soon as you can book for dining reservations you better do it cause you won%26#39;t be able to if you wait to long you%26#39;ll be out of dining and the times you want to eat won%26#39;t be available and you%26#39;ll have to go with what they have which I don%26#39;t like we go in August and I called in March the lady told me that exact day to call and that%26#39;s what I did so I can get what I want not what they want to give me

Hello nutzie,

It%26#39;s nice you%26#39;ll be going before the huge crowds start to arrive on the 23rd of December. It%26#39;ll be crowded but not as bad as Christmas week. As Wutzy already recommended don%26#39;t miss the Osborne Spectacle of Lights at MGM. Our favorite restaurants there are the 50%26#39;s Prime Time Cafe or the Sci-Fi Dine in Theater. Brown Derby if your looking for a more adult atomosphere. And Mama Melrose%26#39;s if your want Italian. Also the Candlelight Processional at Epcot is spectacular. Most Disney breakfast%26#39;s include the character%26#39;s. I have to say though that even though Ohana at the Polynesian is a character breakfast since you%26#39;ll be staying there you might as well enjoy the conveience! Make all your advance dining reservations before you go up to 180 days in advance otherwise you%26#39;ll be stuck eating all your meals via counter service and waiting in line! Check out www.allearsnet.com for a complete list of restaurants and menu%26#39;s.

Boma at the AKL has a great buffet breakfast. WE also like Tony%26#39;s in the MK.

The Osborne Lights are fantastic. But all of the resorts are wonderfully decorated and it%26#39;s worth spending a few hours touring them to see the various displays. The Boardwalk is great,as is the AKL and the WL.

It is,as you probably know, the most crowded time of year to go to Disney so make sure you have your dinner reservations and a plan for each day.
