Flew Virgin Atlantic on 23rd April to Orlando for 2weeks. Everything was booked independently saving a fortune. Caught Disneys Magical Express bus to Pop Century for our 1st week stay. Had asked for a quiet room and this was provided. We were in 50%26#39;s building overlooking the lake and it was perfect for us. Very noisy round the pool. Next day we had booked the ';Keys to the Kingdom'; tour at Magic Kingdom. Highly recommend this if you have been to Disney before. It tells you lots of interesting information and you get to go behind the scenes. We made full use of our 7day premium tickets, including Typhoon Lagoon. Went to Epcot twice to ride Mission Space ( fantastic ride ). Tip for Epcot, get your fastpass for Soarin%26#39; as soon as you arrive because they run out really quickly. Went to Gospel Brunch at House of Blues, Downtown Disney. Food was amazing and as much as you could eat. Great music and lovely atmosphere. Bit disappointed in Pleasure Island. It used to suit all age groups but apart from the Comedy club and the Adventurers it now appears to be aimed at the ';clubbers'; age group. Rode the bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge just to see what it was like. Beautiful but a bit too upmarket for my liking. My favourite resort will always be Port Orleans Riverside. The landscaping is amazing!!

After a hectic week we caught Magical Express back to the airport to pick up our rental car and check-in to Homewood suites on International Drive. 2nd week report to follow.

Prospect 1, No delays at the airport either end. Security was tight as you would expect. Advise anyone to check-in online if possible. Saves so much time and you don%26#39;t have to queue at the counter.

Did you have any trouble with smoke from the bush fires ?
