My family (party of seven) will be in Ft. Lauderdale for a week this summer. I would love to find a local restaurant/chef (preferably cuban fare) that offers a morning or afternoon cooking class. We would travel approx. one hour in any direction. My children are older (23-30) and its time that they learned how to cook.
Fort Lauderdale Cooking Classes?
I only know of three chefs who give cooking classes- and I think most are evenings and none are of Cuban dishes, as far as I know.
Lenore Nolan Ryan has a catering businessand cooking school in Lauderdale by the Sea www.lenorenolanryan.com
The Chef/Owner of Primavera , an Italian restaurant, does some cooking classes. www.trueitalian.com
Chef Jean Pierre does a variety of cooking classes himself and with guest instructors and I have taken some of them-but none on Cuban cuisine on his current schedule.

I don%26#39;t know if the chef/owners of either Catalina or Catalina on the Beach, two rather small Cuban restaurants in town, would be willing to arrange a private session in their restaurant for a group such as yours- If anyone would I think they would be most likely.
Fort Lauderdale Cooking Classes?
Went to Primavera for dinner last weekend. It was a great little italian place. Food was great, atmosphere was very nice.
Have come across a mother/daughter team of ';personal chefs'; who will do cooking classes at their location west of Ft. Lauderdale . Haven%26#39;t used them , but if you want to investigate, the website is
