Fish Peddler

I wanted to thank Lulutoo for recommending the Fish Peddler. I was there last week and the food was wonderful. The crab cakes were good but they took a back seat to the stone crabs and mustard sauce. Can%26#39;t wait to go back.

If anyone else wants to go they are on Commercial between Bayview and US1.

Glad you enjoyed it Pat!- for folks who live out West, the ';original'; Fish Peddler is just west of University Drive on 44th st. In the same complex is a Dorias Italian Market which is fantastic and a kosher bakery ( I think called Family Bakery, but I just call it the bakery)- with the best black and white cookies you will ever eat in your lifetime and all the other great coffee cakes and babkas.

I wish they would open a Dorias on the east side of town- every Thursday when I see their ad in the food section I want to go! The deli and prepared foods section is worth a trip in itself!

I also love Doris. I live around the corner from the one at University and Royal Palm (in coral springs)....so I go there for the fresh fruit and veggies more than anything, cause I gain weight just looking at the bakery items, but they are fantastic. My fave is the Sfiogiatelle..

I can%26#39;t wait to try the Fish Peddler now!
