Edgewater beach resort

Hey everyone-

I have been reading reviews on edgewater beach resort and now am very leary about staying there. Does anyone have any extra information to help me decide? We will be going in Sept. and I have 4 teenage sons. I had found a condo by a private owner on vrbo but am undecided after reading reviews. Would appreciate any input!!!

edgewater is nice it is too big of a resort for me and it looks like the the way that the buildings are shaped some of the rooms look like they are blocked by the other buildings me personally for the price of that older resort you can find a nicer one and newer one maybe i would choose somewhere like ocean ritz,sterling reef, sterling beach gulfcrest, majestic beach towers, seychelles, calypso also look at the brand new ones like emerald beach and tidewater well hope that helps

Hey fellow Kentuckian!

I very seriously considered Edgewater because of that awesome pool, and the fact that a friend of my husband%26#39;s has vacationed in Panama City every year for about 15 years now and they won%26#39;t go anywhere but Edgewater. I found some really pretty units on vrbo and some really tacky ones; I think Mrs. Nelson is right about some units being blocked, I think they call those the ';golf villas';. Vrbo, in my opinion, is definitely the way to go; we%26#39;ve been doing it for 6 years and had excellent results each time. Just be sure ask a lot of questions and see a lot of pictures. I don%26#39;t know what you budget is like, but Shores of Panama should be up and running by then (April 1 is the official open date I%26#39;m told) and it is really gorgeous. Another one that is pricey but beautiful is En Soleil. Good luck! Let us know what you decide!

We stayed at Edgewater last year and are staying there again this year. WE LOVE IT. We have 5 teenagers and they had a fit about staying somewhere else so we%26#39;re off to Edgewater again. We like Tower I but if we got Tower II or III we%26#39;d get a 3 bedroom w/a wrap around balcony.

Thanks so much for the input. We ended up deciding on condo 602 in Tower 1. The owners had 3 or 4 listings for Edgewater. The condo in the pictures looked very up to date and clean. We were looking at some photos of another condo and noticed graffiti on the wall (knew right away that one was out of the running). I want this to be an awesome vacation our oldest 2 sons are graduating high school this year. I don%26#39;t know how many more ';family'; vacations we will have left with 2 of the ';birds'; beginning ';real'; life.
