Trip to Bahamas

Hi All, has anyone been on the trip to the Bahamas that some holiday companies arrange? We are going to Florida in April and are thinking of taking the trip. just wondered what it was like. Thanks:-)

Trip to Bahamas

Do you mean the one where you go down to miami shopping for a bit then over to the bahamas for a 1night and return late the next day?

Trip to Bahamas

They also have day trips also, ship leaves 7 AM and returns 10PM but if I remember you only had like 4 hours ashore in the Bahamas

All I know is that you fly there and stay overnight

Oh, my mistake I throught you was talking about a cruise.

pottytang; If your are referring to the one TCD advertise in there extras brochure . Looks quite attractive, been considering it myself . and its not a bad price.

Hubby and I did this a few years ago, got bus down to Miami which wasn%26#39;t too bad - stopped a bit out at a very small mall. We took a cab to Ocean Drive for lunch and back to mall to meet up with bus.

Flight was hilarious, stewardess didn%26#39;t even get out her seat it was so short.

Hotel in Grand Bahama was comfortable but apart from the casino nothing else really to do. Couldn%26#39;t imagine being there for a fortnight.

Got cruise back to Ft Lauderdale - was ok - then drove back to Orlando and got back in the early hours.

Was ok but wouldn%26#39;t rush back - got the t-shirt as they say.

Not sure if it would be just 1 night you wanted to be away from Orlando but if not then one other idea you might want to look at is what we are doing in Jan next year -

we have booked a 4 night Royal Caribbean cruise to the bahamas for the middle of our FL holiday which is costing 拢920 for 5 of us but in real terms less than 拢400 as we dont have to budget for the food for those days in Orlando and due to the fact that I saved a bit on our car hire by booking direct ..

they also do 3 night ones as well for a bit less.

We figured its a good way to do a bit more of something different on holiday and avoid themepark overload!
