Week Before Easter Insanity?

Do they throngs the week before Easter make it impossible to enjoy the Disney experience? What are they lines like that week???

Thanks!

Week Before Easter Insanity?

Both the week before and the week after Easter are the second busiest times of the year at Disney behind Christmas Week.

Expect extreme lines and wait times of over 60 and up to 90 minutes for some rides.

Week Before Easter Insanity?

dabsia

we are going at easter this year, for the third time, I can honestly say we werent put off at all by the crowds, yes it was busy, but with fastpass etc we never ever waited more than 30 in for a ride, usually nearer 20min. Dont let this put you off, Ive never known anything else so cant comment on the comparison at other times of the year, and the weather is good too at easter, not too warm.

Is your mind lost?

tlbl: What do you mean? Is your mind lost?

I%26#39;m anxiously awaiting the replies on this. My friend just informed me they will go to WDW the week before Easter next year. The last time they went was in Feb., %26amp; thought the crowds were heavy on Presidents day. How does this compare? I think they%26#39;re in for some really heavy crowds. Also, they wanted to go to the Easter parade, %26amp; then leave the park for the day. How practical a plan is it to just go for the Easter parade?

Im beginning to think that i have imagined going to disney at easter 04 and easter 05! I presumed disney and universal were always busy, like this, i certainly didnt put us off booking for this year again, and maybe we were just lucky but thinking back the longest we waited for any ride was at test track and my husband informed me we waited around 40 min for that, and that was our longest wait, I think their is alot of exaggeration on how busy it is. so in answer to your question NO its not impossible to enjoy the disney experience it is VERY possible!

We have always gone over spring break which at times was over Easter or a week before or after. Although it was crowded it was very doable and we had a blast. Just as the other poster stated, I thought this was just how Disney always was. The longest any of us remember waiting for a ride was 45 minutes but other than that the waits weren%26#39;t all that bad. We are going in two weeks and we now have kids ages 4 and 7, I%26#39;m really not all that concerned with the long waits. In the summer we go to the Wisconsin Dells and have to wait 20 minutes in line for some of the waterslides or to Six Flags and wait 30 plus minutes for rides so I think if you just know it will be crowded and expect it you will be fine. We have friends that never miss a year going to Disney over spring/Easter break and they always enjoy it with their young kids.

dabsia,

I%26#39;ll be there with you the week before Easter. We%26#39;re doing the Universal thing though, and won%26#39;t be at the Disney parks. All we can do is expect crowds, be flexible and enjoy our time. Don%26#39;t listen to the negative comments, just make the most of it.

dabsia- we will be there the week before easter also with 2 two year olds. I%26#39;ve been before during the first week in April during spring break (but not during the Easter Holiday) and did not find the lines to be too bad.... I%26#39;m keeping my fingers crossed that this experience will be the same.

In my opinion...

We%26#39;ve been in January (nearly empty park), July, March, April and December. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being a near-empty park %26amp; 10 being a madhouse), here%26#39;s what we discovered:

January - 1

Christmas - 10+++

July - 7

Week before Easter - 7

We were at WDW the week before Easter last year (Palm Sunday through Wednesday). The parks were about the same as in July, but the weather was much more pleasant. I%26#39;m sure that it got more crowded as it got closer to Easter Sunday.

This year, we were in Florida, and decided to see the Christmas decorations at Disney. We spent one day there (December 28th), and hit all 4 parks. It was insanity. We%26#39;ll never go around Christmas again. They closed the MK before Noon!!!! Madhouse!

We%26#39;ve been 4 times for spring break (including last year%26#39;s pre-

Easter trip) and found that to be the absolute best time of year to go.
