We are going last week of September. Trying to make a basic touring plan so I can make ADR. Our first day there will be Sun Sept 23 (we will arrive late the night before, so this is a full day). The touring guide says it is a 4 crowd day, best park is AK, park to avoid is MK. The next day is a 6 (EP is best), the next day is a 4- when it finally lists MK as the best park.
So my question is this- can I really manage to not go to MK until the THIRD day??
That first day is an Evening EMH at MK- I%26#39;ve heard staying away from parks on EMH is advised, but is this mainly morning ones or evening too? The VERY helpful lady at disney reservations thought the evening ones at MK were very productive because everyone tires out and doesn%26#39;t stay.
IF the evening EMH at MK are a good thing- would you 1)try to do AK, hop to Chef Mickey%26#39;s for dinner, then to MK for fireworks and EMH? 2)do full morning at AK, back to hotel for afternoon rest, then Chef Mickey%26#39;s, then fireworks and EMH at MK 3) just do AK and try to get to bed early as we%26#39;ll be tired from our first day or 4)blow off the touring guide recommendation of avoid MK and go to MK anyway (since it%26#39;s first day)!
Thanks!
First day advice and EEMH
Hi kk, think I%26#39;d go for option 2. Animal Kingdom then back for a swim and a rest before Chef Mickeys and on to the EMH at MK. It%26#39;ll be interesting to see other responses as this is what I%26#39;ve planned for one day of our hol in July! The EMH go on to 2am as far as I can tell in July and there are 2 spectromagic performances 9 and 11, so it should work out fine
First day advice and EEMH
Those touring guide numbers don%26#39;t lie, so if you want the best day to visit M.K., then do wait until Tuesday to go there.
The EMH hours are to be avoided for both evening and morning sessions, if you are NOT a Disney resort guest. If you are staying on property, you should definitely take advantage of those EMH hours. I did it in Sept. last year and it was very ';uncrowded'; for the Disney guests.
Sunday is not a really good day to go to M.K., especially if you only arrived the day before. If you simply must do M.K. that day, go ahead, but you%26#39;ll have fewer crowds to deal with if you wait until Tuesday. Lots of folks ';arrive on Saturday and hit M.K. on Sunday'; or ';arrive on Sunday and hit M.K. on Monday';, so those days, along with Saturdays, are the worst for M.K. visits.
Hi kk
We followed that plan when we went it worked brilliantly, arrived late Friday night, lazed, shopped, swam and let the kids catch up with sleep on Saturday, AK on Sunday, Epcot Monday and didn%26#39;t do MK till the Tuesday but did include Cinderellas Royal Table lunch which was well worth the wait. The plans are good.
MK is busy enough on the Tuesday, I%26#39;d hate to be there at weekends.
