Looking for a good hotel in a great location

Hi Guys,

First time visit to Disney etc, looking for a nice hotel with a large kingsize bed, quiet, with a good breakfast, big clean pool and conveniently located close to Disney, Sea World, Universal, etc, realise that they are spread quiet a few miles apart but really have no idea as to the best place to stay, is there anything decent on I Drive. Our budget is around $85 per night for room only or B%26amp;B, please let me know the best we can get for that price and more importantly best location / base.

Thanks in advance

Christopherson

You didn%26#39;t mention what time of year you are going, so prices will vary depending on that.

When it comes to off the property hotels for a reasonable price, I am very partial to Fairfield Inns. The rooms are clean, the beds are wonderful and the hot breakfast is included in the room rate.

We stayed at the Rosen Plaza on International Drive - nice rooms and a lovely hotel. A little noisy (due to the size of the hotel) but again this depends at the time of year you are going. Another good hotel is the Renaissance Resort at Seaworld. You can click on my name and read my reviews (with pictures) for these hotels. The Rosen Plaza is probably better in terms of location because there are loads of restaurants in walking distance.

Hope this helps.

Should have also suggested the Double Tree hotel at entrance to Universal (check out my review on that too).

Chris,

I didn%26#39;t stay at these but had a quick check on TA for you. I did however remember driving past these and they looked OK from the outside, if that helps

Fairfield Inn and Rodeway Inn ranging from $69- $85 and would say the Fairfield was in the better location. This is close to the Rosen Plaza where we stayed and is great for access to everywhere and also going out on foot to eat and drink.

Hope this helps

Check out The Homewood suits on I Drive, all you need and more.

We most recently stayed at Spring Hill Suites near the convention center and were very pleased with what the hotel offered as far as the room, breakfast and pool. Here is my trip report...

La Quinta Inn on Jamaican Ct. or the one on Universal Blvd. Both are clean, have a free breakfast, free shuttles, microwave and fridge, pool (pool is nicer and bigger at Jamacian location), good rates (avg. $60-$100 a night depending on season, try ';LQ';, ';LMD';, or ';AAA'; rates) and are quiet but centrally located (ask for a room NOT facing the Xway at Jamacian Ct. location though).

we dont really have B%26amp;Bs in orlando.

fairfields are pretty decent for the price.
