We are headed to pompano beach the first week of june..Staying at the royal vista..My neighbor just returned from pompano,didnt stay at royal vista...He said the beach was trashy,very dirty..Not good for the kids etc...Is it that bad ???Now im really bummed..I am asking because i know some people just like to complain...Has anyone been the the beach lately???

I just returned from Pompano staying at Sea Gardens which is a sister resort to Royal Vista and about 1-2 miles north of there.

The beach was beautiful. I haven%26#39;t been down to the Royal Vista for a few years, but their beach used to be lovely also.

Thankyou for letting me know,Like i said some people complain just to complain...I feel much better......Now just gotta beat the storms lol..

HI,if you want a really good beach with a reef 10 ft off shore check out red reef.Its only about 10 miles north of pompano.

Another part of Red Reef Park is Gumbo Limbo Nature Center , which has a great guided tour with info about sea turtles etc and is rated #1 in Boca Raton on TA. Besides, I just like saying Gumbo Limbo!

Also be aware that you can snorkel from shore at Red Reef( if it is not too windy) but I believe you must provide your own mask etc. You might want to check the wind before investing in the stuff, as the water may be too cloudy on a windy day- if it%26#39;s good conditions , it%26#39;s a great spot!
