That will be a very busy time as the schools are on vacation. It is also going to be very hot and humid. It already is. Plan on long wait times. Drink plenty of fluids and wear comfortable shoes for both standing and walking.

I agree. Expect a long wait for most popular rides. The best course of action is to arrive early in the morning and head for the rides you really want to try.

Liverpoolboy,

There is a psychology that may help you get the most use of the parks in one of the toughest times to be there. Figure out what everyone else will be doing and do something different.

Make sure you have your park map in advance. Mark on it where you want to go first.

Get to the park shortly before it opens and stand in line until it does. Ignore everything in the front of the park and head directy to the back or to the ride you expect to have the longest line throughout the day that is not in the front of the park. By the time you get back to the front of the park those attractions other people waited hours to see will have very short lines. Spaceship Earth is the classic example of this phemomenon.

Enjoy!

Here are some recommendations for the Disney parks:

Magic Kingdom--if you have only adults, head for Space Mtn first as it will always open when the park does. Sometimes the rides in Frontierland don%26#39;t open when the park does (Splash Mtn and Big Thunder Mtn). If you have small children, head for Dumbo first, then go straight to Peter Pan (both in Fantasyland), then head over to Buzz Lightyear in Tomorrowland.

Epcot--definitely do Soarin first thing and get a Fast Pass for a later ride. You won%26#39;t be alone as almost everyone heads there first. After this, go next door to the Living Seas attractions and do the Turtle Talk if you have small children (another one that gets long lines later in the day). If you have no children, go to Test Track and Mission Space next (Test Track has longer lines).

MGM--if no small children, head straight for Tower of Terror and Rock %26amp; Roller Coaster first thing.

Animal Kingdom--head toward Everest and get a Fast Pass, then walk over to the Safari ride and ride it first. Then, you can come back and do Everest later on. The safari ride should be done as early in the day as possible due to the heat, but the Fast Pass may be necessary for Everest if you do the safari first.

The Fast Pass system is excellent - we didn%26#39;t use it for the first 3 days of our holiday and then discovered how great it is and its free.

Arrive at the parks as early as you possibly can - we usually arrived about 20 mins before opening and already there were a huge amount of people parking their cars.

Do as much research on each park as you possibly can before you go - I used the Fodor%26#39;s Guide to Disney and it was fantastic - it advised on all the rides, attractions and restaurants - infact absolutely everything.

It was our first time in Orlando and we loved it. Didn%26#39;t have time to do so many things but in the evening enjoyed Downtown Disney, especially the Comedy Club.
