Does anybody know about this tour company? Are the tours that they offer to the Everglades and Key West any good? Or would they be something better to do on our own with a rental car?
Miami Nice Tours
Hi Don512, I wrote the below on your question about the GoMiami Card, as we would like to know about this too - (don%26#39;t know if you have read it). Have you had any luck finding out more info about the tours? :
We are travelling to the USA in April/May and were also wondering about the value of these cards. Like you we mostly want to do the Everglades and Key West tours.
I emailed Miami Nice to try to get an idea about how they feel with people using these cards and a bit more info re pickup from hotels etc. They responded very promptly and were friendly, but their answers were a little vague and obviously didn%26#39;t want to commit to anything definate. Mostly they said it was essential to contact them at least 2 days before you want to do the tour to book in and check if the tours were available. Unclear how far in advance they would take bookinngs.
I was also wondering if it%26#39;s better to purchase online, at the moment the GoMiami Card is discounted if you buy online until 11th Jan 07. I%26#39;m worried that we will feel locked into having to get our money%26#39;s worth and running around all over the place, or worse missing out on the things we really want! Should we just buy the tickets for the tours we want to do when we get there?

If you will have a rent a car, plan a day at Pennecamp Park in the Upper Keys or a ride out to Sawgrass Mills outlet mall. You might like an airboat ride through the Everglades and a chance to sample alligator bits and frog legs in Coopertown.
Visiting the Keys is a great day trip. It%26#39;s just 1.5 hour drive south of Miami Beach and a GREAT ADVENTURE...

As long as you can swim, the park has all-inclusive boat trips out to a shallow area over the most breathtaking reefs for snorkelling. The crew carefully demonstrates how to snorkel and provides safety equipment. You will want to bring: bathing suit, towel, STRONG sunscreen, and maybe a dry change of clothes.
If you are reluctant to try this out, you can just go along for the ride and tan on the boat. It%26#39;s BEAUTIFUL out there...
There are also glass bottom boat tours for the non-wet-set... Tours are 2 ½ hours long. The Spirit Of Pennekamp departs three times daily, at 9:15, 12:15, and 3:00. Tickets are $22 for adults and $15 for children under 12.
From 8:00 am until 3:45 pm, they offer canoe and sea kayak rentals for exploring the wild, winding mangrove creeks of the park. Prices for canoes are $12 per hour
From Miami Beach, take 95 south to 836 west to 826 southbound following the signs to Florida%26#39;s Turnpike south to US 1. Take US 1 to Key Largo. Look for the State Park entrance on your left at Mile Marker 102.5.

We went on two trips with them last year and were very disappointed
with the city tour. The tour accused my daughter and her partner of getting on half way round the tour and not paying even though they were with us and we were first on.
The tour guide on the Everglades tour though was really nice but all he did really was pick us up and drop us off at Bayside afterwards .It has put me off booking a Key West tour with them this year. I will go through someone else.
I booked through expedia about two weeks beforehand.
Thanks Arizonablossom, that%26#39;s exactly the kind of info that I wanted to know!
Regards, Sussannahrose.
Your very welcome!!!
We will also be in Miami in April.

Hi there! Went on two tours with these guys. The tour guides are scruffy looking. Our first guide smelled like booze. The second one came out of the restrrom with white powder under his nose. God, they were both speeding and tailgaiting. The tours sucked big time. The driver%26#39;s were both sleeping on the bus at bayside.
Keep as far away as you can.
Rob
Thanks Rob,
We will definately heed your advise, and look at other tour operators!
Sue.
Don%26#39;t do the city tour. You basically just sit in traffic. Little Havana was a joke, you spend 45 minutes here, the big attraction here is the McDonalds. Then the tour guide will say, look at the real cubans, do you see them? They look like anyone else, what did she expect. I thought she would point out areas in Coral Gables and Coconut Grove, we just drove down the main street, nothing to see. The boat tour is good but would not recommend the pirate ship one, very crowded. Try to book your own boat tour before you go and find out which boat youll be on. We did this tour with Miami Fun Tours. I think they are all the same.
Hi
I was going to book with this company to do both the Everglades and the Key West tour, but the comments have really put me off booking with them. Can anyone recommend another tour operator as this is the only one I found!
Thanks,
Jennifer
We ended up renting a car and driving over ourselves. It%26#39;s not to far of a drive and very easy to find.
