I%26#39;m bringing my mountain bike to the island for a family vacation in July. I%26#39;m driving anyway, so why not. Anyway, I like to bike a lot on vacation since I%26#39;m not going to the gym.
Some questions:
About how long is the bike trail?
Are bike allowed on the trails in the state park?
Thanks in advance.

bike questions
The total amount roughly on the bike trail itself that is outside the plantation is about 4-5 miles, if you are in the plantation you%26#39;ll get probably about another 4-5 miles on the bike path. Once the bike path per sey ends at the end of the east gulf beaches you%26#39;ll have about 2 miles out to the state park thru the east end. From the gate at the state park out to the end of the drive in the park is about another 4 miles. Total on asphault and/or bike path is about 21 miles from end to end.
I am not 100% sure bicycling is allowed, but I don%26#39;t see why it would not be, as long as you stay off the dunes. But you can contact them ahead of time to be sure at:
1900 E. Gulf Beach Dr.
St. George Island, Florida 32328
Phone: 850-927-2111
You%26#39;ll have plenty of places to ride, especially trail riding in the gulf beaches on the bay side, there is alot of good places to get to.
Hope this helps, have a great trip...
