Travelling to Ft. Lauderdale...Need some help!!

Hello All,

About 4 of us are planning a guys trip down to Ft. Lauderdale in the beginning of April. We want to play golf during the days and enjoy the nightlife the fort lauderdale has to offer in the evenings.

We will have a car so travelling to play golf during the day is not an issue.

I am looking for some assistance in finding a places to stay (reasonable in price) that would be in the middle or close (reasonable driving distance) to everything, i.e golf courses, shopping malls, nightlife.

Thanks for your help in advance!!

All the golf courses are really out west- while most night life is east . There is some nightlife at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel?casino which would be near golf courses too- but other than the casino itself it%26#39;s nott a very nice part of town and is quite expensive.

I guess if I were doing it myself , I%26#39;d look to see if rooms are available at the Best Western Oceanside- a moderately priced place right along the beach. Plenty of nightlife up the street at Beachplace usually and you can walk across the street to Bahia Cabana for a friendly Key West style bar and grill. The other stuff like golf and shopping you would have to drive west to do ( you likely would want Sawgrass Mills Mall - for outlet shopping and there are many golf courses in that area - Jacaranda comes to mind as does Plantation Preserve) I just think you would enjoy waking up on the Ocean every morning, which is what Ft. lauderdale is all about- you can also ride the Water Taxi from right across the street and should be able to get either that or a Sun Trolley to take you over to the Himmarshee Village club area so you could drink and not have to drive.
