Hard Rock Hotel

Hello

As anybody stopped at the Hard Rock Hotel and if so whats your opinion of it please.

Next Feb we are hoping to fly on the 7th Feb, spend 2 nights in Orlando, then we have 9 nights in Daytona Beach , followed by 5 nights in a Disney hotel.

Just not sure where to spend the 1st 2 nights, the kids (5 %26amp; 9) will want to visit Universal Studios so i thought Hard Rock might me ideal just not sure how family friendly it is

thanks

Jackie

Hard Rock Hotel

I LOVE the Hard Rock hotels....the pools are fabulous, the music great...the rooms are fantastic (the beds are sooooooo comfortable) and my family loves it.

I think the 9 year old will love the whole place.... the 5 year old I think will want to hang out at the pool while your not at Universal. It is set up to look like a tropical lagoon with sand and everything...it is beautiful. The extra advantage of staying there is that it is the closest hotel to the Universal parks and you get the ';fast'; pass for staying on property.

Hard Rock Hotel

Hi jackie, yeah we stayed there for one night in July so we could take advantage of the front of line benefits with the room key. We picked up the key first thing in the morning even tho we couldn%26#39;t get into the room until the afternoon and were able to use it all day and all the following day even tho we were checking out. It was so handy for us as it meant unlimited fast passes for all the rides for 2 days at the busiest time of the year. The hotel itself is stunning, ie, all the public areas, the lobby, etc and the pool is great too. However the rooms although nice were nothing special and we preferred our room at the Embassy Suites, for example for space and attention to detail. The staff and service are excellent however but the place is extremely expensive I wouldn%26#39;t stay more than a day or two. But as I said the front of line pass was a great perk.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the replies.

I%26#39;m guessing it wont come cheap but my husband says its up to me where we stay and isnt too worried about budget (which translates to he/we are having 9 nights in Daytona beach for speedweeks which most definatley isnt cheap , therefore he cant complain too much about much the 1st 2 nights cost!)

jackie x

Oh its fine for a couple of nights and you won%26#39;t spend much time in the Hotel anyway I guess if you%26#39;ll be at Universal %26amp; IOA. Just don%26#39;t take anything out of the minibar...lol!

If you are in the AA you can also get a discounted rate, its called the AAA in the us.It also gets you 10% off food .shopping at universal.

You just phone them and they will add it to an existing booking as well.

Be sure to check out the ';super saver'; rates on the universalorlando.com page under the resorts tab...it should be under the ';hot deals'; section...I had to look for it a little and play with arrival dates. We booked Hard Rock Hotel double queen with pool view for $283/night this March...we thought it was a great deal compared to other sites%26#39; prices from $301-$425 and...they have a good cancellation policy! We will be there this Friday 03/09/07...will post a review when we get back...Happy Travels :)

Hi we stayed there with our son in February, we have been previously, 5 years ago and there was no hesitation in returning to the Hard Rock, the staff are great, a few minutes walk to the Parks and front of line access. The rooms have recently had a makeover and are very smart. Despite the unseasonal cold weather we used the pool and the hot tubs, your kids will love the pool and the slide - mine did and he is 20!

Does anyone know???

When I arrive the first day at the Hard Rock. I heared that I can use my Room Key (allthough check inn is later) for skipping the lanes...

OK

But what about the second day after the night??

I guess I have to return the key and will not be able to skip????

Thanks for input!

:-)))

afew messages higher there is a posting from carla, i believe she uses the key pass on her checking out day too.

Yes, that is what I meant...

If I check out in the morning (I guess until 11???)

don麓t I have to give the key back????

Just wondering h o w this works...

:-)
