Is the dining plan the way to go?

I think you will find on here that a lot of people think it%26#39;s great and is a way to save money. Others will say that it%26#39;s way too much food and that they just wouldn%26#39;t spend that much on food so it%26#39;s not worth it. If you plan on doing character meals and table service meals I say it%26#39;s worth it. We are using it for the first time in a couple weeks. My aunt just returned from a Disney vacation and used the dining plan and saved all her receipts and she said they saved about 40% purchasing the plan. we have been to disney 3 times and i would not do it any other way. Yes alot of food but your only paying a flat rate so if you dont finish it there is no extra money out of your pocket. Meal plan only way to go.

If you want to eat at the ';nice, sit-down, table-service restaurants'; during your Disney visit or do character meals, then definitely get the dining plan as you%26#39;ll save a boat-load of money. Remember, too, you need to make your reservations as far ahead as you can, due to limited spaces. Even the 180-day mark is advised.

If, however, you mostly limit yourself to counter service meals, you won%26#39;t come out ahead with the dining plan.
