Which hotel is better? I got about the same price for both of these hotel s and not sure which would be better location/cleanliness, etc?
Any advise will be appreciated. Thanks!
Riverside Hotel or Best Western Oceanside hotel?
Both are quality establishments, but obviously the locations are the principle difference. If you%26#39;re here for the beach, the BW makes it much easier to access, but is not particularly close to shopping or fine dining. The Riverside would be better if you prefer to dine out and shop along Las Olas Boulevard, but look into parking fees for both; as that may be a tiebreaker as well. Either way, I think you%26#39;ll be happy.
Riverside Hotel or Best Western Oceanside hotel?
I agree with Awfulcat that it depend if you want to be near the beach, which the Riverside isn%26#39;t. Also, be aware that the lowest priced rooms at Riverside are called their ';clasic'; rooms and they are in the oldest section of the Hotel and are quite small- I understand that they have a double bed, not queen sized and not much room to move around. Many folks are not happy with those when they find out that they are being assigned there.. The rooms in the new tower are much bigger and nicer, but I%26#39;m suspecting the rate you saw was for the smaller room and that aTower room would not be the same price as Best Western Oceanside.
I%26#39;m not sure, but I think parking at BW is only about $5 a day and that it is $12 or more at Riverside in their parking garage- not a large difference, but may matter to you. Haven%26#39;t had occasion to park in either recently , so my figures may be outdated. You might want to read the reviews for the Riverside- you%26#39;ll notice a few references to small rooms from people who got assigned to the classic rooms. Rates vary widely, but I have generally seen rates in the new bigger rooms to be in the mid - higher $200%26#39;s, while the smaller rooms are high $100- lower $200 range most of the time- usually about $40- 50 higher for the bigger room.
