Another Dining plan question

I just purchased our package with out the dining plan, if we get down there and want to add that will they let me?

Another Dining plan question

Hello lesiaco,

No unfortunately Disney doesn%26#39;t allow this, however even if they did I wouldn%26#39;t recommend it as generally all your favorite table dining reservations would probably be booked upon your arrival and you%26#39;d be stuck having very slim pickings from the dining plan. Just a note, in case you didn%26#39;t already know, in order to purchase the dining plan not only do you need to book the room also park tickets in advance also as one package. Hope this helps!

Another Dining plan question

ok let me get this straight. I have to purchase the package deal right now it says $1600 for value or 2000 for moderate is the only way. Or I just have to purchase my room and tickets at the same time to get the dining pkg. I have just started reading post so i am not sure but the above mentioned pkgs are for 4. And there are 3 of us I was guessing it would be cheaper to select things seperately.

Hey, thanks for the info. We don%26#39;t really eat that much food anyway; I just thought if we had some extra money we would buy it once down there. No biggie. We bought the package (tickets and room) from Disney, will they have them waiting at the hotel once down there?

OH.. and another minus on the dining plan, doesn%26#39;t the reservations run your vacation? Like you have to leave the park to make reservations on time, it seems to take the spontaneity out of your vacation.

You can%26#39;t add on the dining plan after you get there but you only have to buy one day%26#39;s ticket, not tickets for the whole length of your visit to ';qualify'; for the dining plan. My family doesn%26#39;t find the dining plan works for us;having to make reservations months in advance is a must and we would rather have some spontaneity and we found it is far too much food for us. But depending on your eating habits and whether you%26#39;re willing to make your reservations right away,it can be a good choice. Most people are far more enthusiastic about the dining plan than I am so don%26#39;t rule it out.

Hello lesiaco,

Unfortunately if you don%26#39;t have reservations you don%26#39;t won%26#39;t have the opportunity to enjoy most of the table restaurants because since the inception of the dining plan and everyone making sure they can utilize their dining plan credits everyone is making advance reservations. And being stuck eating at counter service restaurants your entire Disney experience is a bummer.

Typo! delete ';don%26#39;t';!

We will be driving down, so we%26#39;ve already decided that we%26#39;ll just leave the park and go off site to eat.

We just really don%26#39;t like to HAVE to be any ONE place during my vacation. There%26#39;s enough of that with my day to day life, the best part about vacation for us is that we don%26#39;t have to worry about wearing a watch. Just eat when we get hungry, if we can%26#39;t eat at Disney, then some other restaurant will be getting our money.

Thanks to everyone that posted. I really appreciate all of the advice I get from this website.
