Stock Island Hotel

need some leads for a hotel in Stock Is for two nights in NOv, just learned that we cannot reserve a room at the navy base until 30 days prior to arrival. We wanted to stay in Stock Island, rent a car for a few days and enjoy the local restaurants before we meet up with friends at the Eden House. Thanks for any suggestions for a hotel. Seems like the restaurants are covered pretty well on the Stock Island sub topic

There are vacation rentals on Stock Island, but to my knowledge there%26#39;s no hotels.

I%26#39;ve never seen a hotel or motel on Stock Island and I just tried googling it and came up empty-handed. I think you need to look into Key West - it%26#39;s only a bridge away. Since location isn%26#39;t a big concern for you, so you might try one of the hotels out on Roosevelt. They%26#39;re generally less expensive than those in Old Town.

Why Stock Island? Budget?

There are no hotels/motels on Stock Island. There may be some vacation rentals. But unless they are at the golf course, stay away! Stock Island is a crime plagued area, especially around the shrimp docks.

There was one motel a few miles up on Big Coppitt Key, but it was destroyed in Hurricane Wilma and never re-opened.

Look for a place on North Roosevelt. It%26#39;ll be about as close as you will get to Stock Island.

All I can tell you is I%26#39;ve stayed on Stock Island at the Oceanside Marina- BEAUTIFUL!

On my next planned trip down, I%26#39;ll be staying at Coral Hammock through Craig and Cindy, also on Stock Island. Also looks beautiful.

(It%26#39;s right near KW Golf Club). The prob is, I don%26#39;t think either rent for night stays, only week stays.

But I like the Stock Island location.
