Help finding a condo to rent in St. Pete's area.

Have been sending Emails to owners of Condo%26#39;s on the VRBO web site.Only 1 in 6 answer back.Are there any other web sites to find condos for rent?Being courteous goes a long way especially after waiting 3-4 days for replies back.Help me out.Thanks

Have you tried Vistas on the Gulf on St. Pete Beach? I just went out to the beach today and it looks like a great set up if you are looking for a condo. It is right on the beach, the balconies look nice and there is a shopping complex across the street.

Look at www.trsinc.com. They handle condo rentals just in the Tampa/Clearwater/St. Pete area.

Correction - I meant to say Gulf Strand Beachfront resort. The Vistas is a few doors down so the shopping center is not right across the street. Also, I think the the Gulf Strand (it is a condo-hotel) has better beach access. They have a patio with loungers and a pool right on the beach whereas the Vistas is a little set back and behind a big dune.

There was a new condo to be built next door to the south. Did you see any construction?

Yes. There is a vacant lot between the Vistas and the BeachHouse Suites that has heavy machinery in it. I didn%26#39;t look much closer than that though. My impression was that they were clearing the lot for construction but I didn%26#39;t actually look at the lot to see if they were laying any kind of foundations or anything. There may have been more evidence of progress but I wasn%26#39;t looking for it.

We just got back from staying at Vistas on the Gulf. In response to another posting, yes there is construction going on. If you want to sit on your balcony during the day, be forewarned that the noise is bothersome.

Hi KMAN try Gulf Winds it is across the street from the beach and has several restaurants within walking distance. Also easy to get to trolley if you do not choose to rent a car. A word of caution- these are all privately owned condos so ask if the unit they have available has been updated. The location is great the price is right and you cannot beat the sunsets from the beach.
