family friendly restaurants near Hilton

we will be staying at the Hilton for 1 week during easter. Can anyone recommend some good places? Also hotel website says they are 1/2 mile from Las Olas Blvd is this accurate?

While they are probably a half mile from where Las Olas intersects A1A, that is not the end of Las Olas where the restaurants etc are- that is several blocks further west and probably not a comfortable walk- especially with children. Ther should be a Sun Trolley ( red and yellow) that will run down the beach, probably behind your hotel and take you across Las Olas . I think it is 50 c a person or so- shame on the Hilton for misleading people about that!

I think the Oasis Cafe just south of that A1A and Las Olas Intersection is very family friendly ( you sit on glider swings) and a Bubba Gumps Shrimp has just opened right near there- haven%26#39;t been yet ,but it should be family friendly like all the others around the US. I suppose most of the places at Beach Place are family friendly, but I%26#39;m not really fond of the food at any of them- except maybe Cheeburger , Cheeburger - and I%26#39;m not sure if it%26#39;s still open as most of their other branches have closed.

I don%26#39;t venture around town with kids- so hopefully others have more ideas- personally I don%26#39;t find most of the Las Olas restaurants kid friendly-though the pizza and pasta at Cafe Europa would probably work- followed by ice cream or candy at Kilwins across the street.

Maybe Mangos on Las Olas could be ';family friendly'; too. I am in the minority probably who is not a big fan of the Floridian- though it would be closer as its on the eastern part of Las Olas- a 24 hr diner that is usually mobbed- especially after it was featured on the Food Network. I think the food is pretty average and the surroundings a bit glummer than I like in an eatery. Another thing that could be fun on Las Olas is the do it yourself pottery studio Joe Picasso%26#39;s- but I haven%26#39;t been there since they remodeled the place recently and not sure if it%26#39;s changed. A good spot to make a souvenir mug or an early handcrafted gift for Mother or Fathers Day.

Thank you for the useful info.
