I am planning to stay at a moderate WDW resort for my visit in September (supposedly a quieter season). I haven%26#39;t booked any accom yet and was going to wait a while, maybe til August, to see if any specials come out, given that it%26#39;s a quieter season.
I am not that fussed about which moderate resort to stay at. Do the WDW hotels often get full and sell out? Or should I be ok to wait til August?
Do the WDW hotels often sell out?
Zelda_Aus,
The Contemporary sells out. All the convention hotels sell out in convention season. I don%26#39;t think the moderates do sell out in September, but I would not be surprised if they did in April or at Christmas.

Thanks. Are any of the moderate hotels convention hotels?
We%26#39;ve seen some convention delegates at Port Orleans but I believe the main preferred convention moderate is the Coronado.
The Disney hotels really only sell out at the peak times;July and first couple of weeks of August,Christmas and Spring Break. I don%26#39;t know how likely specials are except sometimes the Dining Plan is offered for free which of course,is great. I think you should give a call to Disney later in the spring to see what they think. And would you really want to stay in a completely full hotel anyway?the Value Resorts seem to book up faster than the Moderates because they are part of so many package deals.
I was at Port Orleans Riverside last September, with the free dining plan package, and the resort was no where near sold out. I think there were only a few buildings even being used.
Many of the larger resorts have over 2000 rooms, so to fill them all up during September would be almost impossible, unless they were literally ';giving the rooms away'; for a very low price.
