Beach Chair Rentals

Hi: We will be visiting FMB next week. The house we are renting does not have beach chairs to use (You know the kind that sit low in the sand) and does anyone know offhand what a rental (hourly, daily or weekly) would be? Is it cheaper to buy some at Walmart or somewhere and just leave them at the rental house when we%26#39;re done? I don%26#39;t want to keep going back and forth to the mainland to Walmart etc if I should pick some up on our way in.

We rent lounge chairs with cushions and also umbrellas for $7.00 per chair and $10.00 per umbrella for the whole day. If you are staying right on the beach, I would buy your own. If you have to walk to the beach each day then it%26#39;s better just to rent so you don%26#39;t have to all them all the way there and back. Another alternative is to check the Goodwill that is right before you cross the bridge to the island, they may have some really cheap. But if you are interested in renting, we%26#39;re on beach access #34.

so for a couple its $14 + $10 or 24 bucks for a day to rent lounge chairs and an umbrella?? That would be an umbrella for two, right?

There is a hardware store at the north end of the island at which you can get things for the beach. If you are off the island, you can get the chairs at Walmart as you suggest. I also recommend an umbrella that you can stick in the sand. We walk to the beach and have a cart to pull everything. This provides flexibility so when you go to other beaches such as at Sanibel - you have everything, esp. if there are no rentals. It all depends upon how much you want to spend and if you can take it with you. When we buy something, we leave it since we stay at the same place every year. Hope this helps.

That%26#39;s correct - $24 for a set. The umbrellas are big enough for two as well. And we definately don%26#39;t mind anyone bringing their own chairs and just renting an umbrella from us or renting nothing! Just come hang out with us.

Right now the Cincinatti Firemen are in town and the shows start at 1pm today. We%26#39;re located right in front of them.

I took photos Saturday-they had a good crowd, I was in the new Beach rental 2 over from Firemen, propbably got good shots of your rentals, I know the chairs and umbrellas looked very inviting all lined up and it makes the beach look more tropical.
